Meet Monda the Photographer
Why I became a portrait photographer in the twin cities
Monday minus the “y.” Last name Geddy.
Any way you pronounce it, I am me!
Being a small business owner means I have to find balance for business and personal life. One of the greatest honors in my life is being a mom to my son whom is a recent college grad from Hamline University. While I consider myself a people-person, I draw my energy by spending time with close family and friends. I usually wear my heart on my sleeve and take pride and passion in the things I do. I became more focused on portrait photography in the twin cities when I realized I had a gift to connect with my clients in a genuine way that resulted in amazing photographs that told their stories.
If you know me at all, you will know I am usually a cat person. This is the first time in many years where I don’t have a cat of my own. Not to worry, I still have a pet Golden Retriever dog named Chili. She is an extra dog…nearly 6 years old, full of energy, and is the most vocal dog I’ve ever known! She makes me laugh, especially when she sounds like Chewbacca or Tarzan. She is full of empathy and sometimes is a handful, she is loved. I’m pretty sure she thinks she is human.
What I don’t love as much: Negative energy, passive-aggressive behavior, anxiety and panic (mental health is real!), people who (try to) make you feel less-than, politics, and having to decide what’s for dinner all the time.
I look forward to learning more about you, and learning about the ways we can preserve your story in photographs! Check out my latest happenings on my Facebook page or you can also follow me on Instagram at @mondafoto. Thank you for visiting my website.
I hope to have the privilege to work together with you soon!
Fondly,
Monda the Photographer
