Announcing the RECHARGE Project: Embrace Your Power and Celebrate Your Story
I’ve always believed that every individual’s story deserves to be seen unapologetically. So much so that I had built my entire business manifesto around this belief, embracing the tagline of “© Unapologetically telling your story in photographs.”
RECHARGE Your Story
Celebrate. Embrace. Rediscover.
The RECHARGE Project was born from a place of vulnerability, authenticity, and deep reflection on my own journey. Some years ago, after undergoing a partial hysterectomy due to some complicated female plumbing issues, I stepped in front of my own camera to document this weird time in my life. It was more than a self-portrait session for me—it was a reclamation. In that moment, I wasn’t just a photographer; I was a woman unsure of where I stood in her own power, embracing a body that had changed yet remained wholly mine. While I already had a biological son, this procedure meant no more biological opportunities to build a family for me and my husband, or half sibling for my son. It was a hopeful solution that still took years to resolve. I almost didn’t feel human. But, there was something inside of me that needed to claim “SELF.” Being a creative, I took to what I knew best…telling my story in photographs. Unapologetically.
The photo session with myself was invigorating, healing, and deeply personal, which surprised me, because I had no idea what would come of it. That self-portrait experience was a spark—one that I now want to share with others through this project. I wanted to still feel relevant in the work I do so that it can help ignite something in others.
The RECHARGE Project
From Monda Goette Photography
This project is for women, non-binary, and gender non-conforming individuals in their 30s, 40s, 50s, and beyond who are ready to step into the light and celebrate the lives they’ve lived and the selves they are becoming.
In the years since that first self-portrait session, of course like the rest of us - LIFE has happened in all sorts of ways for me, presenting challenges, wins & losses, a pandemic that would rewire my social skills, the creeping in of anxiety, wtf moments, Ms Menopause, and more growth opportunities. And I found myself thinking about reconnecting to that person who once again needs to reclaim and embrace where she is at since, and where she intends to go. And it led me to the RECHARGE Project.
The RECHARGE Project is more than a photoshoot for women - like nothing I’ve ever done before. It’s an artistic exploration of self—an opportunity to see yourself, perhaps for the first time, in a way that is raw, unapologetic, and breathtakingly beautiful. Through striking black-and-white portraits, I want to honor your resilience, your journey, and your transformation. The cool thing about these micro-sized photo sessions is that they provide a safe place to play, to honor, to feel, to be. To own your moment-to feel heard-to declare. This RECHARGE project is for women, non-binary, and gender non-conforming individuals in their 30s, 40s, 50s, and beyond who are ready to step into the light and celebrate the lives they’ve lived and the selves they are becoming. I know you are out there. You are not an afterthought!
But this isn’t just about looking back at where you’ve been—it’s about recognizing that your story isn’t over. You are still evolving, still growing, still becoming. My therapist (whom I love) mentioned this to me…If we aren’t growing and becoming, we’re dying. Life doesn’t stop here, and neither do you. This moment, this experience, is about pausing to acknowledge how far you’ve come. To give yourself the accolades you so often forget to claim. To see yourself through a lens of love and admiration. You are here, now, and that is worth celebrating.
If you’ve been waiting for a sign to embrace yourself fully, this is it. The RECHARGE Project is your invitation to stand in your truth, honor your journey, and remind yourself that you are worthy—of being seen, of being celebrated, of being unapologetically you.
Are you ready to step into your power? Let’s create something beautiful together. You can learn more about the RECHARGE Project here. We’re only offering 50 sessions now through May 30. Come join me.
