Fall Family Session | Shakopee, Minnesota Family Photographer | 2015
I had first met Steve & Charlene and their three children a few years ago through a mutual friend who also did a family session with Monda Goette Photography. They had a fantastic idea to do a fall family session on the property of their brand new home in Shakopee. Even grandma was part of the fun for that session! Such a beautiful location! The weather didn't cooperate with us that day, it was a dreary overcast and drizzle - even a little chilly- but I was still able to capture some phenominal shots with a gorgeous landscaped backdrop.
Fast forward to Fall of 2015: I was super excited when I received a call to schedule another family session, also to be held on their property as we did a few years prior. The sun was shining that day, as a matter of fact it was unusually hot the day of our session this time around! Fall colors were vibrant and stunning. Kids were happy and smiling. It was a great day!

As a photographer, I get to meet many wonderful people with great stories to tell. It is so much fun to work with returning clients like this family! The kids have all grown up and have changed so much since I photographed them last! To be able to look and compare photos from then to now was neat to see. No more "baby face" on the kids, they have outgrown that!
I also want to give Steve and Charlene a shout out - they ordered wall displays from their first session a few years ago, and those family photos looked amazing in their newly decorated home! I cannot tell you enough how much I appreciate that they are allowing their family to exist in photographs by printing and displaying their favorite images. To be able to display your family photos within your home is such a lasting gift!

The kids have grown up so much since our first photo session!
We were even able to catch the family dog for a few images! (without his leash, he was a little bit harder to catch in their amazingly huge yard!)
I have always encouraged the kids to choose their own spot for their individual portrait. It is a fun way to get them even more comfortable infront of my lens, and capture them as they are. It was an awesome afternoon with this family, I'm so grateful for the opportunity to be able to be chosen as your family photographer again!
