Next up on the blog is Luke, Class of 2018 Senior from Benilde-St. Margaret's (BSM) High School.
I've gotten to know Luke and his family through the BSM Boys' Hockey program over the last few years, and I was fortunate enough to take their family portraits a few summers ago. Luke is also good friends with my son. Together with their other friends, they spent nearly the entire time out on the water last summer! It's hard to fathom that these boys are winding down their last few months of high school!
Luke played hockey for BSM Red Knights and also for the St Louis Park Flyers. It was awesome to watch a few Flyers games this season, including their trip to the MN Hockey Jr Gold A State Tournament this year! His season concluded with the Flyers 4th place finish in State. Luke also plans to plays golf for the Red Knights...that is if spring would ever make it's appearance!
I got to spend some time with Luke and his mom for his senior session in Excelsior. Such a neat downtown area! Check out highlights from his senior session!
Part of our session involved Luke going on the beach and in the water. I mean, it is Lake Minnetonka, so why not!
Luke is the last of three boys in his family to graduate, so his parents will be official empty-nesters soon! With so many college options to choose from, Luke is still undecided on his final decision. But I can respect the process in taking time to decide! He plans to major in Finance. Where the road will take him...we'll have to wait and see!

Luke, it was my pleasure to take your senior portraits! I have said this before about the close-knit group of Joey's friends...I couldn't have picked a greater group of friends for him to share his high school years with. It went by too fast! You all are pretty fantastic. Hopefully you boys have a heap load of memories that will never be forgotten as you all continue on in this next chapter of your lives. And to Wendy and Mike - congratulations to you as your baby boy wraps up his senior year of high school. So many exciting things happening, so quickly! I truly thank you for choosing me to take Luke's senior portraits, and I am so thankful our paths have crossed. You are both wonderful friends and I hope to stay in touch as these boys all go their separate ways.
